Hi, friends! I’m Dr. Rachel Denny! I was born and raised in Tulsa, and I had a strong passion for science and medicine starting at a young age. I was later born and bred, so I left for The University of Oklahoma after high school where I gained a degree in Biology. While at OU, I acquired a job at a local veterinary clinic and decided the field was the perfect fit for me! Throughout my time there I worked as a kennel and vet assistant which has given me a valuable perspective now that I am the doctor. I later moved from Norman to Stillwater and earned my DVM from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. I performed an externship with SAHO during my senior year of vet school where I quickly realized I wanted to join this team after graduation. I have enjoyed growing here as a new doctor over the past couple of years and could not imagine better mentorship than I’ve received. My special interests include surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine, although I truly enjoy all aspects of this career and love the fact that it is different each day. I also find joy in forming strong relationships with clients, so that together we can create the best care plan for each pet. At home, I have an orange tabby named Richard and a scruffy pitbull mix named Bruce. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, especially if it is outdoors! I like to kayak and ride my bike, and my favorite is snow skiing. I have also developed a small obsession with houseplants and love to travel.
